The goldroo software allows you to create an optimized website without the need to have any HTML authoring software. Once installed, all updates are made using any web browser, anywhere and anytime.

Public interface
Detail pages	Each listing can have a separate page on your website with content specific for their business or organization. A detail page is sometimes also called a Mini-site.
Google maps	Priority listings show a location map if address details are submitted.
Featured listings	Priority listings can be rotated on the homepage.
Share your site	Included is the AddThis sharing tool that increases your traffic by allowing your visitors to share your site with their friends through Facebook, MySpace, Twitter etc.
Full text search	Built-in search facility accessible from every page. Dedicated page with a list of most common and most recent successful search terms. Option to include a selected number of top and latest searches on every category page.
Report broken links	Visitors can report broken links or listings easily.
Printer friendly	The goldroo software includes a print-friendly stylesheet.
Tell-a-friend	Every detail page and article page can have a form to allow visitors to send a message to a friend along with a link to the page.
Submissions
Listings do not need a website	Accept listings from businesses or organizations who do not have a website. This setting is optional.
HTML editor	Content for the listing's detail page can be submitted with a WYSIWYG editor, making it easy for people to personalize their listing.
Submission filter	Prevent unwanted submissions with a "bad word" list, customized control over the content of titles and descriptions submitted.
Prevent duplicate submissions	System will check if the same domain is already listed, or if it is already in the review queue.
Ban URLs	Add unwanted website submissions to a banned list.
Accept free or paid submissions	Accept payments with PayPal, 2CheckOut or NOCHEX. Set the price and duration of ads, sponsorships and listings.
Deeplinks	Paid submissions can add 5 extra links to internal pages.
Updates	Listing owners can update their listing any time.
Administration panel
Unlimited categories	Create as many categories and sub-categories (pages) as you like.
Link listings	Listings can be shown in more than one category.
Category descriptions	Add up to 2 description blocks to every category, and add page specific meta descriptions and keywords to each category.
Group categories	You can group categories and sub-categories together in one of two groups within a category.
Link categories	You can link your categories to other categories, so they will be accessible from more than one page.
Clone categories	Category structure can be duplicated.
Articles	Add articles to any category. Articles can be shown (linked) from different pages.
Dead link checker	The script checks automatically from time to time for any dead or broken links and adds them to a list for review.
Customization
Different templates per category	You can use a different color scheme, background or lay-out for some of your pages. Create up to 100 category and detail page variations.
Look and feel	Customize CSS and page layout.
Dreamweaver templates	Although you can customize all script templates using a free HTML editor, the goldroo software also includes Dreamweaver templates allowing for easy customization.
Search engine information
Search engine friendly URLs	The script uses mod_rewrite to create search engine friendly page addresses.
Auto generated sitemaps	Automated daily creation of updated Google and Yahoo! sitemaps.
Server and other technical information
Page caching	To reduce server load, and to improve the performance and lower the number of database queries, the script uses a page cache.
