Requirements and preparation to install your goldroo directory script

Requirements

To be able to run your goldroo software on your server you will need:

• A single MySQL database powered by MySQL Version 4.0.10 or later
• PHP 4.3 or later including PHP 5
• CURL + OpenSSL support included in the PHP build or sockets
• Zlib required for compression
• GD required to support images
• Cron Job support
• Linux or Unix server
• Active connection to the internet for licensing

Preparation

Domain name

• We're sure you knew this: to create a website you will need a domain name .

Google Map API key

• You will need a domain specific key if you want to use Google maps on the detail pages.
• Sign up for a Google Maps API key here.

Other software required

• Although you can update and edit your site online once your goldroo software has been installed, at times you might need to edit or backup some files.
• FTP client: To transfer files between your computer and your hosting server, you will need FTP software.
  You can download FileZilla for free.
• HTML editor: You will also need an HTML editor, for example you can download CoffeeCup's HTML editor for free.
• ZIP software: If you do not have any file extracting software like WINZIP, then you can download 7-ZIP for free.
